Crazy Storm

Last night there was a crazy storm that came through the south in Alabama and Georgia. In some parts, a tornado formed and this caused many deaths to occur. My thoughts and prayers go out to these families as well as the ones who have injured loved ones and damaged homes. This is a terrible tragedy, but another sign that we are getting ever so more closer to the joyful return of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The times, though, will be rough for believers, but by obidence and dedication to our Lord, we will be able to perserve through it all.

The meeting that I had with my pastor yesterday during lunch time went well. We met at a Greek restaurant close to work, which has some great food. The discussion was about the Will of God and covered his sovereign, moral and individual wills(this one really does not happen anymore, even though at times we try to think that it still does). God's sovereign will is his will that he makes happen no matter what we want, like the weather and creation of the earth and heavens. God's moral will for us is that will that he would like to have happen in our lives, but it is are decision in whether or not it happens; like abstaining from fornication and thanking him for what he has done for us. This lesson was great and showed me that what God wants for my life can be drastically different from what I want, but that he wants the best for my life and I just need to place my trust in him.

I am going to every other day, write out the part of the Sermon on the Mount that I am trying to learn and dedicate to memory.
"And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them saying:
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the Kindgom of Heaven.
Blessed are those that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy."
- Matthew 5:1-7

The 5 things that I am thankful for today are:
1) my next breath
2) the rain cleansing the earth last night
3) my friends
4) my car that runs
5) my health
